Panel Two: CIO Outlook: Assessing ASEAN as an investment destination

As we progress through 2025, global markets remain marked by uncertainty and transformation. The impact of the US presidential elections is reshaping global dynamics, while China’s recalibrated growth strategies and its evolving relationship with the US continues to play a critical role in shaping market outcomes. Within ASEAN, a rising generation is driving innovation and economic shifts, redefining regional priorities. Meanwhile, rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and green technologies present both significant challenges and transformative opportunities.

How are macroeconomic shifts, geopolitical developments, and technological advancements influencing investment strategies midway through the year? What trends are defining ASEAN’s growth trajectory, and which sectors hold the greatest potential for resilience and returns? How are industry leaders approaching the region’s financial landscape and positioning themselves for success this year?
