Balancing Risk and Return with Global X ETFs: Covered Call and Buffer Strategies
This presentation explores how Global X’s Covered Call and Buffer UCITS ETFs can support more resilient portfolios in today’s market environment. Covered Call ETFs are designed to enhance income by holding equities while writing call options, offering a combination of yield generation and partial downside protection. Buffer ETFs use options-based strategies to provide a defined level of downside protection while maintaining exposure to potential market gains. Together, these strategies offer a thoughtful approach to managing risk and return—ideal for investors seeking income, reduced volatility, or defensive equity positioning. The session will highlight practical use cases and implementation ideas for both wholesale and institutional investors.
Workshop Objective:
The objective of the workshop is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Covered Call and Buffer ETFs, including their strategies, benefits, and risks.

From the start we understood the need to create a distinct, entrepreneurial culture that harnessed all areas of the business in the pursuit of this goal. As a new entrant in a competitive market, we wanted our clients to experience, share and benefit from the energy and focus of a young firm, full of talented individuals, eager to distinguish itself as a trusted steward of other people’s money.
