Citywire Wealth Management Forum Edinburgh 2024
Welcome to the Wealth Management Edinburgh Forum 2024.
We are very excited for this year’s Forum. With inflation and monetary policy under the microscope, it is fair to say that we’re coming together at a time that is as fascinating as it is crucial, and investors now face the task of figuring out what comes next.
A selection of influential fund managers will join us to provide insight on their strategies for navigating the present, and identifying opportunities as we consider the coming years. We will once again assess the outlook for inflation and interest rates, consider which thematic trends will stand the test of time, and offer a glimpse on the economies of tomorrow.
We are also thrilled to welcome our keynote speaker, Jake Meyer. Jake Meyer is a highly engaging speaker who uses his Mountaineering, Military and Commercial experience to deliver entertaining stories and thought-provoking messages. He is a Leadership Development Consultant, a world record-breaking British Mountaineer, adventurer, speaker and was awarded a BEM in the Queen’s birthday honours 2020.
As with all our Forums, there is no charge for attending (which is strictly by invitation only) and you will earn up to 3 hours of structured CPD.
Over the course of this Forum, you will;
- Reassess portfolios in relation to recent economic developments.
- Consider a variety of investment strategies from fund managers across multiple asset classes and themes.
- Gain insight into the roles of leadership, teamwork, and positive attitudes in adverse circumstances.
We are very much looking forward to bringing Scotland’s wealth management community together again, and on behalf of the entire Citywire team, would like to reiterate how brilliant it would be to have you with us for this event.
Best Wishes

Workshop Objective:

That’s why we invest in things that will be needed for many years to come. Building on our investments in hospitals, schools and student accommodation we’ve expanded into increasingly important areas, such as renewable energy generation, supported living, logistics and data centres, to name but a few.
Gravis gives investors access to the more stable and predictable side of many of today’s most exciting themes – from infrastructure and real estate to clean energy and digital assets. US Equities – Choices in Allocation, Selection, and implementation
The ‘winner-takes-it-all’ trend that dominated global equity markets in 2023 has continued its momentum into 2024. Investor focus on a select group of US stocks, known as the Magnificent 7, has not only heightened concentration risks but also made it more challenging to outperform broad benchmarks. In this environment, equal-weighted strategies have gained significant traction, as investors aim to align their US equity allocations with their market outlook. Besides monitoring a tactical turnaround in US equity participation, investors may also want to consider the long-term implementation costs of US market access, given the region’s ever-increasing role in portfolios.
Workshop Objectives:
• Understand the impact of increasing single stock concentration in global equity markets
• Explore the tactical and strategic uses of factor-based investments to enhance portfolios
• Learn about implementation considerations and assess product quality
