ACATIS Datini Valueflex Fund: the base with integrated springs
Springs are an integral part of everyday life and provide a good illustration of investment opportunities that have not yet been discovered by the market. As soon as these opportunities are identified, prices skyrocket. The ACATIS Datini Valueflex Fund, which has achieved an annual return of 13.8% since its launch on 22 December 2008, is a case in point. The fund takes a flexible and opportunistic approach to capitalising on investment opportunities, with an investment range of 0% to 100%. The emphasis is on value investments in different asset classes, with a long-term perspective and regular review of market conditions. The fund currently has assets of €781 million as at 31 August 2025.
Workshop Objectives:
Laetita-Zarah Gerbes presents promising investment opportunities in the future themes like AI, Infrastructure and Healthcare waiting to be discovered in the ACATIS Datini Valueflex Fund, allowing you to unlock your full stock market potential.
Company Profile:
ACATIS introduced value investing to Germany in 1994, inspired by Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. Hendrik Leber, founder and portfolio manager at ACATIS, is considered a pioneer of value investing in Germany. The strategy, based on the theories of Benjamin Graham, focuses on identifying undervalued companies through fundamental analysis of financial data. The premise is that markets are inefficient and that share prices often diverge from the real value of a company. ACATIS has further developed the classic approach into ‘Buffett 2.0’, which, in addition to fundamental analysis, also assesses the future sustainability of business models in order to meet the challenges posed by digitalisation and innovation.
ACATIS offers value investing in equity funds, mixed funds, value-sustainability funds and fixed income funds. Since October 2016, ACATIS has been offering value equity funds based on artificial intelligence. AuM €10.4 billion (31 January 2025).

Semi-Liquid Private Debt
This strategy strives to provide access to Mercer’s best ideas across private debt, in a semi-liquid structure. It aims to enable investors to access attractive opportunities across direct lending, structured credit and specialty finance. The structure aims to provide a similar return profile to closed-ended private debt but with greater liquidity, faster deployment (no j-curve), a greater ability to rebalance, and a much lower administrative burden.
The strategy is aiming to deliver a return of cash +5-6% p.a. with quarterly liquidity capped at 5%. As a manager of the fund of fund structure, Mercer seeks to blend funds with higher return profiles and lower levels of liquidity, with funds that have lower return profiles and higher liquidity. Private Debt investments backed by European real estate
Our approach combines high income potential with strong capital protection. Investments are structured around debt instruments secured by real estate, where the nature of the collateral directly defines the risk–return profile. In today’s market, private debt is one of the fastest-growing asset classes, attracting investors seeking diversification, stable yields, and downside protection. Once reserved for institutions, it is now increasingly accessible through platform-enabled solutions like YELDO that ensure efficiency, transparency, and regulatory reliability. Our offering spans three complementary products: Single Deals, which provide direct exposure to an individual asset with full collateral visibility; STEP, a short-term, diversified instrument delivering high single-digit returns with maturities below one year; and our open-ended Fund, a scalable, fully collateralized vehicle ideal for private capital seeking diversification, consistency, and attractive returns.
Workshop Objectives:
The workshop presents our strategy in structuring private debt products backed by real estate—Single Deals, STEP, and our open-ended Fund—illustrating how we optimise risk-return profiles, balance diversification while maximising instruments’ liquidity.
Company Profile:
YELDO is a tech-enabled investment platform granting access to exclusive private debt deals backed by European real estate assets. YELDO designs investment products tailored to diverse risk-return profiles to fit professional portfolios, distributing them digitally to both direct investors and intermediaries. We select off-market deals financing only 3% of the screened ones, focusing on asset-backed over collateralised opportunities across CORE+, opportunistic, and value-add real estate deals. YELDO has structured ca. 60 institutional-grade deals for a total transacted value of 1.5B€+.
