The Case for International Equities
In early 2025, investor enthusiasm shifted from U.S. to international equities. The substantial valuation disparity between these markets, uncertainty about tariff policies, and a weaker U.S. dollar contributed to this reversal. International equities present a compelling long-term opportunity and trade at a historically cheap valuation relative to U.S. equities. This valuation discount spans across sectors, offering international investors cheaper entry points and a broader, less-concentrated opportunity set. Exposure to global secular growth, from South Korean e-commerce to AI-driven semiconductors, provides diversification benefits. Policy and governance reforms in Japan and Europe are further enhancing the competitiveness of international companies. We believe skilled investors can mitigate risks and generate excess returns in international equities through fundamental research and active, value-oriented security selection.
Workshop Objectives: We will discuss:- Valuation, diversification, and active-alpha reasons for international exposure
- Specific examples of where we’re finding compelling opportunities
Company Profile: Dodge & Cox was founded in 1930 as a new kind of asset management firm, built on a simple business model and a commitment to pursuing investment excellence. Today, we are one of the world’s largest independently owned investment firms. We actively manage money for individuals and institutions globally applying a single, value-oriented investment philosophy across a deliberately limited set of offerings. This intentional focus means more resources honing fewer strategies, more passion driving fewer priorities, and more confidence backing every decision. We aim to master the complexity of investing because we know better outcomes mean greater opportunities for the clients and communities we serve.

Free Cash Flow Investing: How Incorporating Free Cash Flow May Improve Portfolio Outcomes
This material focuses on free cash flow (FCF) as a superior investment metric compared to traditional value measures, like price-to-book, and introduces three VictoryShares ETFs—VFLO, SFLO, and GFLW—that leverage FCF metrics for different investment styles. VFLO uses FCF yield for large-cap value, SFLO applies similar methodology to small caps, while GFLW focuses on FCF profitability for growth investing.
Historical data shows these strategies have outperformed their respective benchmarks, with FCF-based approaches demonstrating resilience across market cycles. Key advantages include capturing intangible assets ignored by traditional metrics, combining quality characteristics with value, and using forward-looking FCF metrics rather than trailing data alone. The methodology includes growth filters to eliminate slower-growing companies, enhancing returns in both value and growth market environments.
Workshop Objective:
• Explore FCF fundamentals
• Learn about FCF investing approaches that can help effectively manage valuation and concentration risks
• Discover why Quality as an investment factor has become tied to high FCF in companies

Using a Cultural Compass to Navigate International Equities
Sit down with WCM Investment Management’s portfolio managers, Andrew Wiechert and Drew French, for a discussion on WCM’s unique approach to international equities. As long-term investors, WCM’s goal is to find quality businesses with growing competitive advantages (“economic moats”) aligned with strong, adaptable corporate cultures. WCM requires each portfolio company to possess a durable and, more importantly, improving economic moat. Economic moats are always changing, and business fundamentals (e.g., ROIC) are intimately tied to the trajectory of a company’s competitive advantage. WCM believes understanding these competitive advantage dynamics, as well as how a company’s corporate culture supports its competitive advantage, is essential to finding durable, compounding businesses that defy the “Street’s” long-term expectations.
Workshop Objective: Learn how the WCM Focused International Equity strategy utilizes WCM’s approach, focusing on investing in businesses with growing competitive advantages aligned with strong and adaptable corporate cultures.
Company Profile: WCM Investment Management is a ~$100 billion investment boutique headquartered in Laguna Beach, CA, which provides innovative equity investment advisory services to institutional investors across the globe. WCM’s primary goal is to generate long-term, sustainable excess returns for clients through actively managed strategies that generate alpha by exploiting inefficiencies in global equity markets. WCM strives to mitigate risk for its clients by constructing high-quality, holistically balanced portfolios that target downside protection. The firm is majority owned and controlled by employees, prioritizing broad-based employee ownership.
