Decade of Dominance: The Strategy that Quietly Beats the S&P500?
The US Wide Moat Index has a long history of outperformance versus the S&P 500 Index since its launch in 2007. The aim of the presentation is to make the audience aware of the opportunities that can emerge from using sophisticated Strategic Equity Exposure methodologies. Workshop Objective: Investors will gain insight into Morningstar's equity research, its capability to identify wide Moat firms, how to estimate a firm’s fair-value and to learn how even a rule-based investment strategy can generate sustainable long-term Alpha.

Emerging Markets: The “Possibilist”
Emerging market investors have been battered by a decade of lacklustre growth and uninspiring absolute returns. As the trauma of Covid segues into the tragedy of war, we understand the temptation to fall back on linear extrapolation. But we think this would be a mistake: our contention is that there is a lot for global emerging markets (GEM) investors to be excited about. This is not about blind optimism or hope without reason. It is simply about having a clear and constructive view of what is possible.
Workshop Objective:
• As long term active investors, why and how we do what we do?
• Why this time IS different for EM?
• Where are the challenges and opportunities in China, and beyond China?
