Welcome to the Citywire Middle East Retreat 2024

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 5th edition of our annual Citywire Middle East Retreat on 21 - 22 May 2024, at the Rosewood Abu Dhabi.

Our regional flagship event brings together leading fund selectors from across the Middle East for a day-and-a-half of intimate workshops with fund managers across several asset classes.

Alongside the fund manager due diligence workshops, we will be joined by a panel of leading CIOs and a keynote speaker to discuss the most important investment trends in this uncertain market environment.

To secure one of the limited places at this invitation only event, please fill out the form on the right and we will get back to you. Citywire will provide travel and accommodation for the event to those invited if required.

Caspar Berry

Former professional poker player
Wednesday 22 May - 09:30

Caspar Berry draws on his career as a professional poker player and successful entrepreneur to take a refreshing look at topics such as risk-taking, communicating, decision-making and innovating.

He read Economics and Anthropology at Cambridge and after setting his sights on becoming a professional film writer, Film Four produced his first screenplay. By the time he was 23 Caspar was writing for Miramax and Columbia Tri Star. Then at 25, he made a life-changing decision to move to Las Vegas and become a professional poker player. Caspar played poker professionally for three years, during which time he made a living pitting his wits against the game’s best known players.

When Caspar returned to the U.K, he co-founded Twenty First Century Media and built it into the fastest growing audio visual media company in the North East of England. Caspar Berry returned to his television roots as the presenter and poker expert on a number of TV shows, most notably Poker Night Live, voted Britain’s best poker show; and Sky Poker, the country’s premier nightly poker show. He can also be seen on Sky Sports and was the poker adviser on the James Bond movie, Casino Royale.
