Stephen Grootes
Stephen Grootes is a well-known and much-respected writer, TV and radio host. He currently hosts The Money Show on 702 and Cape Talk, after hosting SAfm Sunrise for six years. He has also been writing for Daily Maverick since its formation in 2009. He has also been a political reporter for many years, and was present at all of the major turning points in our country since 2007.
Stephen is known for his political analysis, and his insight into political events as they happen. He is in daily contact with the country’s newsmakers and those who make the decisions that matter.

Evan joined Old Mutual Investment Group in 2009. He is the portfolio manager of Old Mutual SA Quoted Property Fund responsible for the portfolio management of all the property funds within the business.
Prior to joining Old Mutual Investment Group, Evan held various roles as a property analyst, head of fixed income and management and strategy consultant.
Evan holds a B.Bus Sci. (Hons), MA (psychology), MBA and is a CFA Charterholder.

National Sales Manager
Hennie joined Old Mutual Investment Group in 2024 as National Sales Manager. He oversees a national, experienced team of business development managers responsible for taking retail investment funds to market. His teams’ clients include financial advisors and planners, discretionary fund managers, fund of funds, and investment platforms internally within Old Mutual and externally across the entire South African market. He is also the appointed Retail Tech Lead, which includes directing the development of Old Mutual Investment Group’s client relationship management and related systems that aim to ensure optimal service of clients and raising awareness of appropriate investment funds.Hennie gained experience at several leading South African financial services companies in various industry roles including Fund Specialist, Investment Specialist, and Business Development Manager within the institutional and retail investment framework. His experience includes Linked Investment Service Provider, Multi-Manager, and single manager unit trust distribution.
Evidencing his commitment to the investment industry especially are multiple awards, including Professional Performance and Investment Specialist of the year.
Hennie has a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, a Bachelor of Laws, and is a Certified Financial Planner.

Veekash is a Distribution Manager within the Retail Client Team at Old Mutual Investment Group, which he joined in 2023. He is responsible for the distribution of retail investment funds in Johannesburg area, with clients being Financial Planners and Business Development teams in the region.Veekash brings 13 years of industry experience to the team, his previous experience includes positions as a Banker, Financial Planner, Learning & Development Manager as well as an Account Manager.
He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and holds a BCom in Finance & Marketing, as well as a BCom Honours in Business Management (Financial Management). Additionally, he has a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Investment Planning, and has completed his RE 1 & 5 exams.

David Jane joined Premier Miton in June 2014. He founded Darwin Investment Managers in September 2010 and prior to that he was Head of Equities Investments at M&G. David joined M&G in December 2000 as a Fund Manager in the global specialist equity team before becoming Head of Equities investments. Whilst there he was portfolio manager of the M&G Managed Fund and the M&G Cautious Multi Asset Fund, which he launched in February 2007 and grew to over £300 million during his tenure. Prior to M&G, David was the Head of Global Financials Research at AXA Investment Management and before that he was at Newton Investment Management as Director of Global Financials Research. He also served as Non-Executive Director of M&G High Income Investment Trust plc from October 2002 to July 2010.*

Prior to joining Premier Miton, Jonathan was Global Head of Distribution for M&G Investments where he spent 17 years building up M&G’s UK and International distribution business across the UK, Europe, Asia and the Americas. Jonathan joined the industry in 1986, beginning his career with Hambros Bank in the Investment Management Division. Having moved into Investment Sales from Hambros, he joined Prolific as Regional Sales Manager in 1993 responsible for marketing mutual funds to intermediaries in East Anglia and West Midlands. Following the merger with Aberdeen in 1997, he became Investment Sales Director, having additional responsibility for clients in London and Switzerland. He moved to US investment house MFS in 2001 as Sales Director, responsible for sales into UK and Scandinavia before joining M&G Investments in February 2005.Jonathan is also a Fellow of the UK Chartered Securities Institute and a Chartered Wealth Manager

Mark is Premier Miton’s business development manager for the South, having joined Premier Miton in 2019. Mark has held similar roles at Aberdeen Standard Life, and before that at Old Mutual Global Investors.Mark is responsible for the development of Premier Miton's fund & portfolio distribution with advisory firms across the South West of England, the Midlands and South Wales, and is also responsible for South Africa.

Aiman Shanks
Investment Director, QEP Global Equities
Aiman joined Schroders in 2017 and is responsible for communicating on investment policy, strategy and markets to investors across the EMEA region. He works closely with Schroders’ client relationship team to design and implement quantitative global equity portfolio solutions and provide technical input to a wide range of clients. Prior to joining QEP, he worked for four years at Psigma Investment Management as an investment associate. Aiman’s investment career commenced in 2012 at Wesleyan Assurance Society where he worked as an equity analyst. Aiman has a BSc in Accounting & Finance from the University of Warwick and an MSc in Finance from Warwick Business School.
