An ESG Original: The ABN AMRO EdenTree European Sustainable Equities Fund
An Introduction to the ABN AMRO EdenTree European Sustainable Equities Fund, a fund with a value-oriented investment process and integrated ESG (SFDR Article 9). This fund utilizes bottom-up stock picking, concentrating on fundamental analysis and employs a contrarian style.
For us, this means being benchmark aware, not benchmark constrained. EdenTree have found this contrarian approach can deliver significant outperformance over the long-term when combined with fundamental stock-picking factors to identify intrinsically sound, value-orientated companies. Combined with their responsible and sustainable investment process, this provides them with a truly active edge to their portfolios.

Pivoting to new opportunities – going granular in the new regime
In the new macro regime, we believe broad asset class exposures may no longer deliver the returns of the past, with investors needing to get more granular to unearth selective opportunities. Emerging Markets have been evolving significantly in the last 30yrs, economically but also in terms of their importance for the Developed World. The idiosyncratic nature of the countries within the EM block is creating opportunities for investors with country selectivity being key.
We prefer EM over DM equities, as we believe their risks are better priced. However we think greater selectivity is required with single country positions. We provide at key macro insights, drivers for performance over the coming 12 months & how to use within your broader portfolio asset allocation.
BlackRock’s purpose is to help more and more people experience financial well-being. As a fiduciary to investors and a leading provider of financial technology, we help millions of people build savings that serve them throughout their lives by making investing easier and more affordable.

Passive Index Investing in Private Markets
NewVest is a platform of index funds for private markets. It allows investors to “buy the private market” similar to how ETFs and index funds operate in public markets. With no management fees at the NewVest level, the firm’s objective is to provide diversified access to leading private funds in a low-cost manner. NewVest’s index funds formulaically invest in the largest funds within an asset class, seeking to emulate pooled (or capital weighted, “market”) returns. Pooled returns across asset classes have historically been attractive, while also less volatile than investing in a single fund. NewVest believes its innovative approach can complement investors’ portfolios in many ways and also accelerate the democratization of private markets.
NewVest will introduce the concept of index investing in private markets, which allows investors to access private markets in a low-cost, efficient way – similar to solutions available in public markets.
Company Profile: NewVest is an institutional tech-enabled platform of index funds designed to provide investors with diversified, passive exposure to private markets in the same manner that ETFs and Index Funds provide passive exposure to public markets.
Our no management fee funds seek to generate returns that closely emulate the historically attractive pooled returns of an asset or sub-asset class with significantly lower risk than investing in individual private funds.
NewVest's leadership team has worked across private markets for an average of 20 years. Our team's experience spans across the entire private market’s spectrum, including investing, capital raising, investment banking, corporate law, accounting, and technology.
The firm is headquartered in New York, with team members also in London, Tel Aviv Berlin, and is an SEC Registered Investment Advisor.

Focusing on the ‘S’ in ESG: the untapped potential of the longevity economy
The social and economic implications of ageing populations globally are becoming increasingly apparent. As well as the traditional populations in the US, Europe, and Japan, countries like China are ageing more rapidly than ever before. This poses several challenges such as declining working-age populations, rising healthcare costs, growing pension savings gap and changing demand drivers within the economy linked to products and services for older people. Pacific Longevity & Social Change seeks to identify high quality companies with proven operating models that provide products and services which cater to changing consumption patterns driven by shifts in demography. As an Article 8 fund the team are committed to promoting ESG characteristics with a particular emphasis on the Social dimension within ESG.
1. Demographic trends and the implications for consumption and spending patterns
2. How integrating social factors into portfolios can drive returns
3. The importance of the “Social” dimension within ESG
Company Profile: Pacific Asset Management (PAM) is an independent asset manager responsible for more than $4.8bn of assets. Fresh and progressive, PAM is rethinking the conventions of how asset management works.
