Citywire ESG Forum 2023

Join us at the Citywire ESG Forum, held at The Westin London City on 28 September.

Once again, we will bring together sustainability thought leaders from the portfolio management and fund selection communities. This Forum will highlight ESG considerations, positive impact and all things sustainability within the context of both portfolio management and the world at large.

Our keynote speaker, Hannah Pathak is a leader in climate change, sustainability, and resilience, with an unusual breadth of experience. From working with leadership teams in multinationals to design and implement strategy, through to leading field operations in humanitarian disaster response missions. Pathak will be exploring how a multilateral approach is the only way forward and what this means for investors.

The agenda will include a number of leading fund houses reflecting on how they’re navigating the ever-changing sustainable investment landscape. We will explore the latest sustainability trends, the core drivers behind them, and what they mean for portfolios.

As with all our Forums, there is no charge for attending (which is strictly by invitation only) and you will earn up to 3.5 hours of structured CPD.

Over the course of this event, you will;

  • Reassess portfolios in relation to both ESG risk and opportunities to create a positive social and environmental impact.
  • Consider a variety of sustainable investment strategies from fund managers across multiple asset classes and themes.
  • Explore the interdependent nature of the factors driving climate change

We very much hope you can join us for a half-day which will help us drive the sustainable investment conversation forward, and help you position portfolios for what is to come.

Keynote Speaker

Hannah Pathak

International Managing Director, Forum for the Future

Hannah is a leader in climate change, sustainability, and resilience, with an unusual breadth of experience from working with leadership teams in multinationals to design and implement strategy, through to leading field operations in humanitarian disaster response missions. This breadth enables her to understand both the strategic and operational challenges of tackling climate change and effective sustainability actions, from mitigation to adaptation and resilience building. She is particularly passionate about working with organisations and networks on navigating the dual urgencies of climate mitigation and adaptation, and about viewing climate risk through a lens of tackling converging vulnerabilities to build resilience, whether environmental or social. At Forum for the Future, she leads on implementing initiatives that transform global systems, using futures scenarios to understand the risks and opportunities that our likely future presents, and using systems change practices to help navigate complex challenges. At Rescue Global - an innovative and award-winning NGO working in disaster risk reduction and response worldwide - she led on partnerships that enabled life-saving humanitarian work. At Earthwatch, she led the world's largest and most extensive corporate/ NGO initiative in the environmental sustainability sector: the HSBC Water Programme, and the previous HSBC Climate Partnership. Since the start of her career, she has developed and managed cross-sector partnerships: with government agencies, corporates, militaries, academia, and NGOs.
