Global Equities: Rethinking Sectors, Redefining Borders
After years of outperformance, dollar strength, and Mag 7 dominance, equity investors are asking whether “all-in US” still makes sense given high valuations, a weakening dollar, and growing political instability. Just as the traditional sector-based approach can be misleading, country domiciles could also obscure more than they reveal.
Rob Hinchliffe, Portfolio Manager and Head of Global Sector Cluster Research at PineBridge Investments will explore how global opportunities look different when viewed through the lenses of business lifecycles and revenue sources. That’s where mispricings emerge, and where active managers can continue to find alpha others might overlook, enabling sharper peer comparisons, risk management, and more informed investment decisions. Rob will also explore the key investment themes and emerging opportunities that could shape the market landscape ahead, while navigating uncertainties and managing risks.
Attendees will leave with both strategic context and actionable ideas for optimising equity allocations.
Workshop Objectives: To equip attendees with strategic insights and practical tools to uncover hidden equity opportunities by evaluating companies’ lifecycle stages and revenue sources instead of traditional classifications
Company Profile: PineBridge Investments is a private, global asset manager focused on active, high-conviction investing. We draw on the collective power of our experts in each discipline, market, and region of the world through an open culture of collaboration designed to identify the best ideas. The Art of Selection: Building Global Equity Income from the Bottom Up
Despite a long-standing underweight to the U.S., this high-conviction global equity income strategy has consistently delivered attractive long-term alpha. At the heart of the approach lies disciplined, bottom-up stock selection—grounded in fundamental research and unconstrained by benchmarks. Rather than relying on regional or sector tilts, the portfolio focuses on identifying resilient, cash-generative businesses with the capacity to sustain and grow dividends over time. This session explores how a selective, research-driven investment philosophy can uncover differentiated sources of income and return, offering investors a compelling defensive equity / income solution in today’s global equity landscape.
Workshop Objectives: Understand how bottom-up, unconstrained stock selection drives income and alpha.
Learn how this high-conviction strategy offers defensive equity exposure beyond traditional geographic or sector tilts.

Equity Long/Short investing: Here to stay!
In 2025, financial markets have presented a mixed yet opportunistic landscape for equity long/short investors. Amid slowing global growth, persistent inflation in key regions, and diverging central bank policies, market volatility has remained elevated. This has created a fertile backdrop for alpha generation through strong stock selection, as dispersion between winners and losers widen across sectors.
To capitalize on market volatility and stock dispersion, allocating to a trusted equity Long/Short manager with disciplined stock selection and risk-managed exposure has proven to be a complementary addition to a portfolio, providing strong risk adjusted returns.
We believe a multi-strategy equity long/short approach presents a compelling opportunity to potentially provide investors with equity-like returns while offering stronger downside protection, compared to broader equity markets.
Workshop Objectives: To build the case for global equity long/short in today's market environment and Wellington's approach to building a diversified and stable portfolio focused predominantly on bottom-up fundamental stock-picking.
Company Profile: Wellington Management is one of the world’s largest independent investment management firms, serving as a trusted adviser to over 3,000 clients in more than 60 countries. Thailand’s Wealth Strategy: Navigating Shifts in the Investment Landscape, Domestic Opportunities, and a New Investor Mindset
Thailand’s wealth sector is rapidly evolving, with investors rebalancing between global risks and local resilience. The growing need for global diversification, private markets, and income-generating strategies is driving a shift in how portfolios are built and advice is delivered. Where is client capital flowing so far this year, and how are global and emerging market assets being positioned in client portfolios? With ASEAN equities and income strategies still in focus, how are investment teams balancing risk, access, and regional opportunities? How are banks and wealth managers addressing client expectations around liquidity and returns for private markets and semi-liquid alternatives? And how are they adapting their platforms and partnerships to keep pace with growing competition and shifting client demands?

Beyond Boundaries: The Power of Unconstrained Bond Strategies
This presentation explores Allspring’s differentiated approach to flexible fixed income investing and why it delivers more. More opportunistic. More diversified. More consistent. This unique approach to global fixed income investing has not only delivered superior risk-adjusted returns but done so consistently over different types of market environments and cycles.
We'll also show why it’s the ideal time to revisit flexible fixed income strategies. Recent market volatility has exposed the risks of certain types of approaches that were not evident just a few years ago. We’ll also discuss the hidden risks emanating from the unusual and extreme asset concentration in this segment of the fixed income market.
Workshop Objective:
1. Understand the key components of a multi-sector fixed income investment process, including security selection, sector allocation, and risk management techniques.
2. Analyse the relative value and risk-return characteristics of major fixed income sectors, such as government bonds, corporate credit, high yield, emerging markets, and securitized products.
3. Evaluate the current market environment and economic factors influencing various fixed income sectors.
Company Profile: Allspring Global Investments, a leading independent asset management firm that offers a broad range of investment products and solutions designed to help meet clients' goals. With more than $570 billion in assets under advisement (as of 31/3/2024) and 21 offices around the world, our vision is to inspire a new era of investing that pursues both financial returns and positive outcomes. With decades of trusted experience propelling us forward, we strive to build portfolios aimed at generating successful outcomes for our clients. We do this through the independence of thought that powers our investment strategies and by bringing a renewed approach to look around the corner to unlock what's possible.
