Selector Spotlight

SELECTOR SPOTLIGHT: 2024, where do we go from here?
2023 has been challenging but 2024 promises to be even more with an increasingly complex geopolitical situation, along with crucial elections in the US and UE that will test even the most robust democracies and making the case for continued uncertainty. So…
Where do we go from now? What are selectors’ investment convictions for 2024?
Furthermore, the relentless flow of new products and strategies such as Smart Beta, Alt Ucits, Quant funds, Thematics, ETFs, Private Markets, ESG, etc on top of more traditional asset classes and strategies have all added to the challenge and, today, there are probably more active and passive funds than individual stocks and bonds. So…
Where are fund investors really finding value? And what’s the best and/or worst investment idea they ’ve seen this year? And if they could work with an asset manager in launching a new strategy to generate returns this year what would that be and why? Last but not least, what’s their biggest fear? And what keeps them awake at night?
In this new ground-breaking session, our guests, Peter Billiet from Fintegrity and Bart van de Ven from Accuro Wealth Advisors, will tackle all these questions sharing their views.

The Great Power Shift: from Green Industrial Policy to Green Metals
The world is facing a structural shift towards decarbonisation, creating opportunity that no investor can ignore.
To achieve these goals, governments around the world have shifted back toward industrial policy, spending large sums on the production and consumption of clean energy and electric vehicles.
At the same time, these goals are putting great pressure on materials needed for decarbonisation, from copper to uranium.
Workshop Objectives:
• Two ways investors can consider sustainability and metals exposure in their portfolios
• The key drivers of growing demand for metals
• Exposure to lower carbon intensity commodity exposure
