Welcome to Citywire Berlin 2026

After a blockbuster edition last year, our European Flagship Retreat returns, bringing together around 200 European fund selectors and 40 portfolio managers spanning major asset classes and investment styles. With thought-leading keynote sessions to complement the agenda, it promises another exceptional experience for all our guests.

In the age of chaos there is no better place than our Citywire Berlin to discuss the challenges and opportunities created by this evolving landscape, and to gain first-hand insights from tens of leading fund managers and hundreds of European selectors.

As always, our event will be held in the beautiful setting of the Adlon Kempinski, right next to the iconic Brandenburg Gate. A symbol of reunification and a major landmark offering a glimpse into Berlin's complex past.

But that’s not all! Again, this year, investment professionals from across Europe are voting for Europe’s most influential fund selectors. The winners will be voted by their fund selector peers and represent Benelux, Germany, Italy, Nordics, Spain, Switzerland, UK & Ireland and Rest of Europe, and will be revealed in Berlin.

Citywire Berlin has been a fixture in the calendar since 2009, and we’re totally committed to keeping it that way. We know the fund selection community needs not just the opportunity to catch up with the managers they already know and trust, but also the chance to meet new managers, explore new ideas and, crucially, network with their peers.

Welcome to Citywire Berlin, since 2009 the BEST and BIGGEST gathering of this kind in Europe!

Emerging Markets Equities: Back in the Spotlight

Emerging markets (EM) are in the early stages of an upcycle, supported by a powerful new global capital expenditure (capex) cycle. Increased investment in areas such as energy security, supply chain resilience, defence and artificial intelligence is driving growth around the world, playing directly to EM's strengths as both technology leaders and suppliers of the critical commodities underpinning global investment.

Join Gabriel Sacks, Investment Director, as he discusses whether EM can continue to outperform and how an all cap core approach - grounded in fundamental research and disciplined cash flow analysis through an income lens - can help investors navigate this evolving landscape and uncover compelling opportunities across the emerging markets universe.

Workshop Objectives:

  •  Learn why investors should still consider adding emerging markets to their portfolios

  • Overview of Aberdeen’s approach to investing in emerging markets with a total return approach

Company Profile: Who we are
Our spirit is our strength

A global specialist asset manager.

For over a century, we've carried our Scottish spirit with us in everything we do.

Our sense of adventure has taken us to new markets. Our courage to invest, when others haven't, has unlocked global opportunities. Our resilience through challenging markets has formed the foundation of our long-term strategy.

It starts with discipline. Discipline directs our investment decisions. Collaboration creates clarity. And our integrity instils intention so we can keep delivering for our clients.

It’s what we do. It’s why we do it. It’s how we do it.

Our spirit is our strength.

Beyond the Benchmark: Unlocking Emerging Markets Through a Flexible Multi-Asset Approach

AI-related investment and economic resilience have supported a strong run of returns for emerging markets. Yet the opportunity set is broad and uneven, and the path ahead is unlikely to be smooth. Concentrated equity leadership, geopolitical uncertainty and commodity volatility mean that relying on a single asset class may leave investors exposed to unnecessary risks and overlooked opportunities.

Join us as we explore how the AB Emerging Markets Multi-Asset Portfolio harnesses the full breadth of emerging markets through active allocations across equities, fixed income and currencies. We will share our outlook, discuss where we see the most compelling opportunity, and demonstrate how a flexible multi-asset approach can target equity-like returns with lower volatility while generating attractive income

Workshop Objective: To demonstrate how a flexible multi-asset approach can capture the full breadth of opportunities across emerging markets while managing risk and delivering a more resilient combination of growth and income.

Company Profile: AllianceBernstein is a leading investment-management firm with $905 billion in client assets under management, as of 30 June 2026. . With a unique combination of expertise across equities, fixed-income, alternatives and multi-asset strategies, we aim to deliver differentiated insights and distinctive solutions to advance investors’ success. Across our global network, we’re fully invested in delivering better outcomes for our worldwide clients, including institutional, high-net-worth and retail investors. By embracing innovation, we seek to address increasingly complex investing challenges and opportunities. And we pursue responsibility at all levels of the firm—from how we work and act to the solutions we design for clients.

Beyond Boundaries: The Power of Unconstrained Bond Strategies
This presentation explores Allspring’s differentiated approach to flexible fixed income investing and why it delivers more.   More opportunistic. More diversified.  More consistent.  This unique approach to global fixed income investing has not only delivered superior risk-adjusted returns but done so consistently over different types of market environments and cycles.

We'll also show why it’s the ideal time to revisit flexible fixed income strategies.  Recent market volatility has exposed the risks of certain types of approaches that were not evident just a few years ago.  We’ll also discuss the hidden risks emanating from the unusual and extreme asset concentration in this segment of the fixed income market.

Emerging Markets: Finding Growth Before the Market Does

Emerging markets are showing signs of broadening beyond the narrow group of AI-related stocks that have dominated recent returns. From technology and financials to energy and industrials, strengthening fundamentals are creating opportunities across an increasingly diverse range of companies. In this workshop, we explore how the Artemis SmartGARP Global Emerging Markets Equity strategy systematically identifies companies where growth, valuations and analyst expectations are moving in the right direction. Combining quantitative analysis with human judgement, SmartGARP® seeks to find improving businesses before their potential is fully recognised by the market.

Workshop Objectives: To demonstrate how SmartGARP combines systematic analysis with human judgement to identify improving fundamentals at attractive valuations and capture emerging-market opportunities before they are fully recognised by the wider market.

We continue to believe this is the best way to deliver exceptional returns for our clients over the long term.

Our primary objective as investors is to outperform the market and produce long-term returns for the people whose money we manage. We only use active management and do not offer passive strategies or tracker products

The Bond Index Trap: Are You Buying the Market or Just More Debt?

Standard corporate bond indices offer broad market exposure, but their construction can introduce unintended issuer concentration, credit risks, and inferior performance. We then discuss how Assenagon Credit Selection ESG addresses these constraints through independent credit selection and benchmark-independent portfolio construction.

Asia ex Japan: Are Investors Looking in the Wrong Place? Finding growth beyond the obvious

Asia has historically often been approached through the lens of macro cycles and treated as a tactical allocation. But the opportunity set has evolved. Asian companies increasingly sit at the heart of structural trends shaping the global economy - from AI infrastructure and advanced manufacturing to resources, digital services and rising consumption. This session looks beyond the macro headlines to explore where actual growth is emerging, why a specialist perspective and flexible approach matter, and how investors can build resilient, long-term exposure to a region that is changing fast.

Workshop Objectives:
•  Understand Asia’s role in global value chains – in AI and beyond
•  Look beyond macro narratives and zoom in on underlying company opportunities
•  Explore what a resilient, long-term allocation to the region looks like

Company Profile: Baillie Gifford, headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland, was established in 1908. Today, we are a leading independent investment management firm with €205bn (as at 31 March 2026) in assets under management on behalf of a worldwide client base. We are an independent, privately owned, unlimited liability partnership owned and run by 59 partners (as at 31 March 2026) who all work at the firm. This is the crucial underpinning of our approach: we have no short-term commercial imperatives and no outside shareholders to distract us. We can simply do what’s right for clients. As an active, long-term growth investor in some of the world’s most transformational public and private companies, we construct portfolios based on our fundamental analysis and proprietary research. In 2012, as a natural evolution of our high-growth public markets approach, we began investing in private growth equity and have since invested more than $10bn in over 160 private growth companies worldwide.

Beyond the Benchmark - Navigating the Next Phase of US Equity Leadership

European clients are reassessing US equity allocations amid macroeconomic uncertainty and concentration risk. While US equities dominate global benchmarks, many EMEA portfolios remain underweight, creating an opportunity to capture assets.

As market leadership broadens beyond the mega-caps, the case for active management is strengthening. Companies benefiting from structural trends such as AI adoption and an earnings recovery often remain relatively small benchmark weights despite their growing economic importance. US Flexi seeks to identify these opportunities through an earnings-led, style-agnostic approach that combines insights from BlackRock's Growth and Value teams, supported by disciplined portfolio construction.

Workshop Objectives:

Build conviction that now is not the time to step away from US equities. The opportunity is merely evolving, not disappearing. An active, flexible approach can help uncover tomorrow's sources of alpha.

Company Profile:

BlackRock is one of the world’s leading asset managers, providing investment solutions, advisory services and technology to institutional and individual investors globally. Enter our War Room: Where Behavioural Bias Becomes Alpha

Most investors fear volatility, we embrace it. The Cornerstone Concentrated 30 is a high‑conviction US large‑cap portfolio built to capitalise on behavioural biases that drive market mispricings. We invest with the conviction that stock prices swing far more wildly than underlying business fundamentals, creating a persistent disconnect between price and value.

We focus on high‑quality companies with proven track records that have been temporarily mispriced by sentiment, not structural weakness. By staying rational when the market turns reactive, we target the “Goldilocks” zone: the efficient middle ground between expensive growth and speculative deep value. Our disciplined approach cuts through cognitive biases to deliver asymmetric returns, capturing meaningful upside while benefiting from the downside protection inherent in buying rationally priced quality.

Workshop Objectives:

Cornerstone will present its unique approach to mitigating behavioural biases, resulting in a balanced portfolio of high-quality, attractively mispriced stocks that has driven top-decile long-term returns.

Company Profile:

Cornerstone is an employee-owned $4.5bn equity investment manager based in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) that manages long-only equity strategies across the capitalization spectrum.

Cornerstone was founded on the belief that a small, independent group of experienced investors can deliver investment excellence and exceptional client service. 25 years later, we continue to believe in the same investment process and philosophy that stock prices move more than the underlying fundamentals that determine value.

We derive our edge through a unique firm and team culture that enables us to minimize behavioural biases while capitalizing on those of other investors.

Building Better Portfolios: Emerging Markets as a Long-Term Allocation

Emerging markets delivered one of their strongest years in over a decade in 2025, yet valuations remain compelling relative to developed markets. For those reassessing long-term asset allocation, the conversation often turns to whether EM deserves a structural role in client portfolios. This workshop examines how a dedicated EM allocation has historically enhanced diversification and improved portfolio efficiency over full market cycles. We'll also explore how accessing the full opportunity set—including underfollowed small- and mid-cap companies with limited sell-side coverage—can uncover differentiated sources of return beyond index-heavy approaches.

Workshop Objective: Examine the long-term role EM can play in diversified portfolios, and examine how active, valuation-disciplined management accesses opportunities beyond the index.

Eagle Capital Management, LLC

Introduction to Eagle Capital Management, LLC

Eagle Capital Management is a boutique investment management firm based in New York City, managing a predominantly US public equity strategy for institutional and individual clients. With over $30B under management, Eagle uses a long-only, bottoms-up, fundamental, long-term strategy that has outperformed the broad equity market over the firm’s 36-year history. We run a concentrated portfolio of 25-35 positions, with an average holding period of over 7 years, and place heavy emphasis on valuation. The portfolio may appear to span both value and growth styles, but our focus on long-term IRR provides downside support while giving us the flexibility to invest in good to great businesses at attractive valuations, without being style constrained.

Workshop Objectives: Provide an introduction to Eagle Capital Management and our unique investment philosophy and approach.

Company Profile: Eagle Capital Management was founded in 1988 and stands for original, thoughtful research and rigorous valuation discipline in making long-term investment decisions in public equities. The same philosophy and approach has been driving our singular approach to investing in the stock market for close to four decades. We use time to our advantage and expand our analysis period well beyond what many market participants consider. Time has served our clients and philosophy well. We have one office, based in New York City, with 44 employees, where the firm is 100% employee owned.

The Great Commodity Squeeze: The Coming Supply Shortage — and the Opportunity in Gold, Copper & Oil Equities

Dr Joachim Berlenbach provides an insightful update on the global mining sector, focusing on the critical resources that underpin future economic growth. As the world enters a new phase of structural supply constraints in energy and industrial commodities — from copper and oil to other critical minerals — understanding the evolving supply-demand balance is becoming increasingly important. He will explore the key drivers behind these emerging bottlenecks, the challenges of bringing new supply to market, and their potential impact on commodity prices, inflation and global economic growth. The discussion will also highlight where these constraints may create attractive investment opportunities across the mining and natural resources sector.

Workshop Objectives:

Understand why the current commodity cycle is only now entering a new phase, driven by structural supply constraints, and how investors can identify and capture the resulting opportunities.

Company Profile:

Earth Resource Investments AG, based in Zug, is an asset manager specializing in the commodities sector. Founded in 2006 by Dr. Joachim Berlenbach, the company combines operational mining expertise with financial industry experience. It manages three funds focused on commodity equities. The Earth Gold Fund UI and the Earth Exploration Fund UI invest primarily in undervalued gold and resource companies with strong exploration and growth potential. The Earth Strategic Resources Fund focuses on mid-sized and larger mining companies with compelling sustainability strategies. The “Earth funds” are long-only UCITS funds. Investments are based on thorough bottom-up analysis of geological, technical and financial parameters, verified through frequent mine and project visits.

Beyond Yield: Capturing Asia’s Income and Growth Through the Cycle

Higher interest rates have raised the bar for income investors. Simply chasing today’s highest dividend yield is no longer enough. Eastspring’s Asian Equity Income strategy takes a forward-looking approach, investing across the dividend lifecycle to identify stable yielders, dividend growers and companies where cash flows and payouts are recovering. The objective is sustainable income alongside capital appreciation, creating a diversified, style-agnostic route to Asian equity total returns through changing market environments. Asia offers a deep dividend opportunity set, while improving cash flows and greater corporate focus on shareholder returns provide additional support for future distributions. Eastspring’s regional equity platform, combining on-the-ground Asian insights with shared research across investment styles, further broadens the opportunity set for this strategy.

Workshop Objective: Explore why a forward-looking, style-agnostic approach to Asian dividends can combine sustainable income, capital appreciation and disciplined risk management, supported by improving corporate cash flows and shareholder returns.

Company Profile: Eastspring Investments, part of Prudential plc, is a global asset manager with Asia at its core, offering innovative investment solutions to meet the financial needs of clients. Global Equity Trends and Opportunities through Macro Analysis

The economic and political environment have been key determinants of equity performance over recent years, and uncertainty across these factors continues to drive volatility. For over 30 years Fisher Investments has believed in the power of macro-economic conditions over equity pricing. Additionally, we believe equity markets are relatively efficient in reflecting consensus expectations for various economic and political factors. These consensus expectations often prove too extreme, providing skilled and experienced investors with opportunities to identify categories of stocks with underappreciated tailwinds. We believe focusing stock selection within categories of equities possessing macro-economic tailwinds enhances the probability of generating consistent returns.

Company Profile: Fisher Investments (FI) is a leading investment manager Headquartered in the United States with over $386 billion USD in AUM (as of 31 March 2026). FI and its subsidiaries serve corporate and public pension funds, sovereigns, foundations, endowments, insurers, financial intermediaries, and high-net-worth individuals. Fisher Investments Institutional Group focuses on running Global, Emerging Market & US Equity strategies for institutional investors. FI combines top-down macro-economic analysis with bottom-up fundamental analysis across all strategies, and believes flexibility is critical in delivering consistent returns.

Why value can never go out of style in high yield

Bond indices reward the most indebted issuers, exposing passive investors to the market’s default rate and lack of relative value in many cases. By dismissing the benchmark as a starting point for positioning, instead starting with a screen for relative value, active investors can access a persistent source of excess return. By combining this approach with fundamental research, incorporating sustainability analysis as a risk factor, the Impax Global High Yield strategy has generated consistent alpha throughout its 10+ year track record.

Workshop Objectives:

We’ll show how Impax Global High Yield identifies mispriced credit opportunities and builds a diversified, unconstrained portfolio focused on attractive relative value opportunities and disciplined risk management.

Company Profile:

We believe strong investment returns can be generated by investors who better understand the opportunities and risks associated with forces shaping the future, including resource constraints, policy and regulation, technological innovation, and evolving social trends. Within fixed income, that means understanding these factors from the perspective of how they might impact the durability of cash flows.

We believe these trends are reshaping capital markets: driving growth for well-positioned companies and creating risks for those unable or unwilling to adapt. Our investment approach seeks out high-quality companies and issuers with enduring business models and sound risk management, aiming to deliver strong outcomes for our clients over the medium to long term.

Impax was founded in 1998 and has approximately 100 investment professionals within listed equities, fixed income and private markets.

Rethinking Global Equities for an Uncertain World

Global equity investors face an increasingly complex challenge: how to maintain exposure to long-term equity growth while navigating elevated valuations, benchmark concentration and rapidly shifting market leadership. With a growing share of global indices concentrated in a relatively small number of highly valued companies, where can investors look to uncover opportunities whilst closely managing risk?

Amadeo Alentorn, Head of Systematic Equities, will explore how Jupiter’s systematic approach seeks to navigate these challenges. Drawing on a broad global investment universe, the Jupiter Merian World Equity Fund combines multiple, differentiated sources of alpha to uncover opportunities beyond the largest benchmark constituents, while actively managing exposures relative to the benchmark. Amadeo will also explain how the team dynamically adjusts its investment style exposures as market conditions evolve, seeking to manage risk and capture opportunities across changing market regimes.

Workshop Objectives:

Explore where investors can uncover opportunities across global equities while closely managing benchmark-relative risk, and how a systematic approach can navigate concentration, valuations and changing market leadership.

Company Profile:

Since Jupiter was established in 1985, we have sought to make a positive difference for our clients by helping them achieve their long-term investment objectives through high conviction, active management. From the start we understood the need to create a distinct, entrepreneurial culture that harnessed all areas of the business in the pursuit of this goal. As a new entrant in a competitive market, we wanted our clients to experience, share and benefit from the energy and focus of a young firm, full of talented individuals, eager to distinguish itself as a trusted steward of other people's money. Now, many years on, we have established ourselves as a leading specialist asset manager precisely because we have retained that agility and drive as we have grown. Our value remains in our people, our ability to adapt quickly to changing markets, and in our willingness to continuously challenge ourselves to deliver the best investment outcome for clients.

Global investing is becoming increasingly complex – driven by geopolitical fragmentation, shifting macro dynamics, and higher market volatility. Our Global Quality Dividend strategy addresses these challenges by focusing on high-dividend paying companies with sustainable income, offering a balanced combination of global diversification, high dividends, and stable cashflows. We believe an equal-weighting approach can help reduce concentration risk and enhance diversification across sectors and regions. Combined with a stable monthly distributing share class, the strategy is designed to deliver a consistent income stream while maintaining broad global equity exposure. The result: a more diversified equity exposure that captures long-term growth while providing consistent income in any market environment.

Workshop Objectives:

We will cover:

  • How dividend investing can target broad sector exposure, higher income potential and attractive valuations
  • Why a quality-focused, equal-weighted approach can enhance diversification
  • How a stable monthly distributing share class can support the needs of income-focused investors.

Alpha, Risk and Cost: Rethinking Portfolio Construction in the Age of AI

In a world reshaped by AI, asset allocators face a paradox: the technology accelerating market complexity demands systematic processes to navigate it, while narrowing the margin for error on every decision.
As markets grow more concentrated, many have turned to passive building blocks to contain active risk and costs. Yet a predominantly passive portfolio places the entire alpha burden on asset allocation, a precarious position when AI compresses reaction times and dominates market narratives.
Systematic building blocks offer a resilient architecture: strategies capable of processing vast, diverse datasets at speed and scale. Designed to deliver controlled alpha at a cost proportionate to their contribution, they diversify alpha sources across security selection and asset allocation, keeping risk and fees in check.

Workshop Objectives:

Explore how systematic building blocks can help asset allocators diversify alpha sources, strengthen portfolio construction, and balance return ambitions with disciplined risk management and cost control within evolving AI-driven markets.

Value Discipline and the Cost of Capital in Emerging Markets

Emerging Markets have rarely been better-positioned to outperform Developed Markets. The challenge remains that EM is a highly idiosyncratic collection of markets and today the index has become more concentrated than DM. Outperforming in EM not only requires decades of experience, but also a deep understanding of the different costs of capital across emerging markets; a concept which many investors overlook. Pacific North of South EM Equity Strategies adopt a highly differentiated bottom-up investment process developed over 20 years. By identifying quality businesses which are also undervalued, this process has outperformed for 10 years in a row. Key to our approach is the adoption of a Proprietary Cost of Capital Valuation Framework, which systematically incorporates both macro and stock-specific risks.

Workshop Objectives:

To explain the importance of the cost of capital in investing in EMs, and why we believe strict value discipline is the key to consistently outperforming.

Company Profile:

Pacific Asset Management is an asset manager founded in 2016 responsible for over £18.6 billion* of assets. Pacific is headquartered in London. Pacific is a fresh and progressive asset manager, rethinking the conventions of how asset management works for advisers, institutions, investors, asset owners and the industry.

Pacific provides a range of tech-enabled model portfolio solutions, delivered on all major adviser platforms. Pacific works in partnership with firms to build investment solutions collaboratively. Advisers are supported through Pacific’s AdviserLab technology, complemented by clear, client-ready literature and reporting to support effective client communication and ongoing reviews.

Pacific’s single-manager business focuses on high-conviction investing in less efficient markets and securities, where the firm believes active managers can outperform through their skills and expertise. The business currently offers strategies across Emerging Market Equity, Emerging Market Equity Income, North American Equities, Global Equities and Global Infrastructure; Liquid Alternatives in G10 Macro Rates and Alternative Risk Premia; and Global Active Credit.

The Credit Frontier: Opportunities in Securitised Markets

As traditional fixed income markets continue to evolve, investors are increasingly seeking new sources of diversification, resilience, and risk-adjusted return. Securitised credit has emerged as an important segment of global credit markets, offering exposure to high-quality assets backed by diversified pools of loans and other cash-flow-generating assets. This session will explore the role securitised credit can play within a contemporary fixed income allocation, with a particular focus on AAA-rated CLOs and other securitised strategies. We will discuss the structural characteristics that underpin the asset class, examine current market opportunities, and highlight how securitised credit may help investors enhance portfolio diversification, generate attractive income potential, and navigate an increasingly complex market environment.

Workshop Objectives:

Explore how securitised credit, including AAA CLOs, can help investors diversify fixed income portfolios, access attractive risk-adjusted returns and enhance portfolio resilience in today's evolving market environment.

Join Pramol Dhawan, Managing Director and Head of PIMCO's Emerging Markets Portfolio Management team, as he discusses where the most compelling opportunities are emerging today and how PIMCO's global platform, extensive research capabilities, and scale help uncover value across sovereign debt, corporate credit, local markets, and currencies.

Beyond Passive: Quantitative Active ETFs for the Core

Since their launch in October 2024, Robeco’s active ETFs have grown to more than EUR 2.5 billion in assets. This workshop explores why the 3D Active ETFs are not simply a short-term product innovation, but rather the ETF evolution of an Enhanced Indexing approach that Robeco has been applying for more than 20 years.
At the heart of the strategy is a quantitative investment approach that systematically combines return potential, risk management and sustainability. Using practical examples, we show how factor premiums, data and disciplined portfolio construction can be used to deviate deliberately from the benchmark while retaining the characteristics of a core portfolio building block.
For investors looking for the efficiency and transparency of an ETF, but expecting more than simply tracking the market.

Workshop Objectives:

Discover how Robeco’s quantitative active ETFs build on more than 20 years of Enhanced Indexing experience to offer a systematic alternative for core allocations beyond traditional passive index tracking.

Company Profile:

Robeco is an international, pure-play asset manager founded in 1929 and headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, with 15 offices worldwide. Combining fundamental and quantitative research with a strong focus on innovation, Robeco offers institutional and wholesale investors a broad range of active investment strategies across equities, fixed income and other asset classes. Its investment expertise spans quantitative investing, emerging markets, credits and sustainable investing. As of 30 June 2026, Robeco had EUR 406 billion in total client assets, including assets under management and assets under advice. More information is available at www.robeco.com.

Finding the sweet spot in equities: risk vs reward reimagined with Schroders’ QEP Strategy

With a track record spanning more than 25 years, Schroders’ QEP strategy combines proven investment expertise with innovation and is available in an active ETF format since last year.

This workshop explores the “sweet spot” between passive investing and high-conviction active management, drawing on QEP’s over 25 years of experience in global equities. It explains how a diversified, measured approach seeks to combine broad market exposure, disciplined stock selection and downside awareness. The discussion introduces the role of value and quality, why implementation and fees matter, how diversification can support consistent outcomes, and why avoiding big mistakes can be as important as finding big winners. It also considers how a core equity strategy can complement specialised investments, offering a clear framework for thinking about risk, reward and long-term portfolio construction.

Workshop Objectives:

To explore how a balanced approach to active global equities can combine market exposure, diversification and risk awareness, enabling investors to apply these insights to portfolio construction and manager selection.

Company Profile:

Schroders is a leading global investment manager, providing active asset management, wealth management and investment solutions. With £867.8 billion (€1,007.4 billion; $1,151.8 billion) in assets under management as of 30 June 2026, Schroders serves clients across 36 locations worldwide. Founded in 1804, the company remains true to its family-founded heritage, with the Principal Shareholder Group retaining a significant ownership stake.
Schroders’ diversified business model spans multiple asset classes, client segments and geographies. Its capabilities are delivered through four core business divisions: Public Markets, Solutions, Wealth Management and Schroders Capital, which specialises in private markets.
Through active investment management, Schroders seeks to deliver strong long-term outcomes for a broad range of clients, including pension funds, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, charities, family offices, high-net-worth individuals and intermediary partners.

A Local Perspective on Japan Equities: Unlocking Opportunities for European Investors

Japan’s equity market continues to present compelling inefficiencies, shaped by limited coverage, language barriers, and an extensive opportunity set across listed equities. At the same time, structural shifts – including advancing corporate governance reforms and a transition toward a more favourable inflationary environment – are reshaping the investment landscape for the better. SuMi TRUST’s Sakigake High Alpha Strategy is designed to capitalise on these dynamics through deep local research, high-conviction stock selection, and a disciplined thematic approach, supported by close collaboration between portfolio managers and analysts. The strategy has delivered consistent performance across varying market environments, identifying companies best positioned to benefit from these long-term changes. For European investors, it offers access to differentiated alpha sources and meaningful portfolio diversification, capturing Japan’s evolving growth drivers while remaining uncorrelated to regional and global market trends.

Workshop Objectives: We explore how Japan’s evolving market dynamics and structural reforms create alpha opportunities, and how our research-driven, thematic approach captures these for European investors seeking diversification and differentiated returns.

Company Profile: SuMi TRUST (Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Asset Management), Japan’s largest asset manager with over $750 billion AUM, leads the Japanese institutional market and has expanded globally across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Its Japanese equity strategies, driven by experienced local portfolio managers and analysts, have consistently generated alpha. Renowned for high-quality client services, SuMi TRUST serves diverse European clients, including private/public pension funds, private banks, asset managers, and family offices.

In a world of extremes, strengthen your core

A combination of innovation and geopolitical disruption has created a market of extremes – both highs and lows.

The resultant speculation and momentum-driven investor behaviour mean the factors driving market leadership are in constant flux. Factor analysis and fundamental research man not always align, but they always matter.
In our sessions we will analyse this environment and look at how a global equity portfolio constructed from lowly correlated quantitative signals and fundamental insights can both cushion on the downside and capture upside.

With the next drawdown always lurking round the corner, it pays to have a strong core.

Workshop Objectives:

Learn about the benefits of a strong and resilient core global equity allocation in volatile markets, built using lowly correlated quantitative signals and fundamental insights

EM Debt: Generating Alpha in a New World Order

TT discusses how today’s shifting macroeconomic and geopolitical conditions are reshaping opportunities across emerging markets debt. The presentation explores how blind spots in hard currency and local markets can uncover overlooked value - illustrating how TT’s differentiated process identifies non-consensus opportunities in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Workshop Objectives:

The objective of the workshop is to present new ways to generate alpha in emerging markets. We believe many traditional investment processes are becoming outdated given the new world order we live in. We will focus on how geopolitical risk, changes in market structure and evolving research processes shape how investors should look at EM debt as an asset class across sovereign, corporate credit, FX and rates markets.

Company Profile:

TT International is a specialist emerging markets investment boutique offering a range of cross-asset long-only and alternative investment strategies, alongside European equity and credit hedge funds. Founded in 1988, TT has operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG) since 2020.
We combine the independence, agility and specialist expertise of a focused investment boutique with the financial strength and global reach of one of the world's largest banking groups, which has one of the most extensive franchises across emerging markets.
Our complementary long-only and alternative strategies are united by a high-conviction, agile investment approach. We focus exclusively on areas where we believe we have a clear competitive edge and where structural market inefficiencies create compelling opportunities for active management.

From Yield to AI: Europe's Leading Global Dividend ETF & Investing in the AI Theme

In this session, VanEck presents two strategies that reflect our approach to building differentiated, conviction-driven ETFs across both core income and thematic growth.
First, we highlight our Global Dividend ETF, Europe's leading global dividend ETF by flows. With a 10-year track record and more than $8 billion in AUM, it demonstrates how a disciplined dividend strategy can serve as a differentiated core allocation.
We then explore opportunities in the AI investment theme, focusing on the key enablers of long-term growth through electrification, semiconductors, and nuclear technology.

Workshop Objectives:

Explore how VanEck's differentiated approach to ETF construction delivers distinct outcomes for investors—from a battle-tested dividend strategy to targeted exposure to the AI theme through electrification, semiconductors, and nuclear technology.

Company Profile:

“Don’t settle for the conventional. Dare to be different.” CEO Jan van Eck.

Providing investors access to opportunities that will strengthen their portfolios is VanEck’s guiding principle. Through forward-looking, intelligently designed investment solutions, we offer value-added exposures to asset classes and markets as well as differentiated approaches to traditional strategies.
Today, VanEck is also a leader in offering ETFs in various sectors such as Thematic investments, Core, Natural Resources and Fixed Income. Our expertise extends over managing assets worth $244 billion, including 45$ billion in our diverse UCITS ETF platform (as of June 2026).
We think beyond the financial markets to identify the trends—including economic,
technological, political and social — that we believe will fuel investable opportunities.

Small-caps, too big to ignore

The growing dominance of US mega-caps has made large-cap indices heavily exposed to a few stocks and sectors. Small-caps, by contrast, are less concentrated and thus offer significantly enhanced investment diversification.
Remarkably so, mega-cap growth has quietly redefined what “small-cap” means. Today, the largest stock in the MSCI World Small-Cap Index has a market cap of almost US$30 billion, versus around US$3 billion twenty years ago. Hence, small-caps now represent a far more meaningful part of the real economy.
By investing in small-caps, investors tap into a broader, richer opportunity set - from AI infrastructure winners to industrial and consumer champions - each with its own business cycle and dynamics.
Curious how to capture this opportunity? Join our small-caps workshop.

Workshop Objectives:

Equip participants with practical insights into today’s small-caps landscape and show how our “quality at an attractive price” approach uncovers compelling, diversified investment opportunities beyond mainstream.
