Citywire Alternatives and Private Markets Forum 2024

Welcome to the Citywire Alternatives and Private Markets Forum taking place on 25th June at the Westin City, London.

The emergence of long-term asset funds in recent years is a clear example of a broadening investable universe and an increasingly friendly regulatory environment for wealth clients to access investment vehicles in this space.

Whether your clients are already benefitting from such structures or want to learn more about the opportunities and the risks involved in this space, this forum will be a meaningful addition to your calendar.

Several leading fund houses will be in attendance to provide insight into their strategies, how they’re currently navigating the macroeconomic environment and possible opportunities in what is to come.

As with all of our forums, attendance is strictly by invitation only and you will earn up to 2.5 hours of Structured CPD.

Over the course of this forum, you will:

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the benefits, risks and sustainability of long-term assets in client portfolios
  • Consider a variety of investment strategies from leading fund managers in this space
  • Gain insight into private market structures across multiple themes such as private equity, private debt, real estate and infrastructure.

We are very much looking forward to this event and hope to see you there.

With very best wishes,

Andy Wyatt

Former Royal Air Force and Commercial Pilot

It is not only investors who need to manage and mitigate risk on a daily basis to achieve excellence. Andy Wyatt is widely known for his career as a Red Arrows Display Pilot and Royal Air Force Pilot. Having navigated some of the most hostile environments known to man, Andy has continually demonstrated his skills for teamwork, leadership, planning and operations.

Aged just 18 years old, Andy made the life changing decision to enrol for the Royal Air Force, completing his training and being given the opportunity to fly the English Electric Lightning and intercept Russian aircraft during the Cold War. From that point on, Andy rose through the ranks and was ultimately selected to be a pilot in the Red Arrows Display team. With the Red Arrows, Andy became the Hawk Squadron Commander, a Deputy Chief Flying Instructor and Hawk Fleet Manager.

Having enjoyed many successful years as part of the Royal Air Force and the RAF Aerobatic Team, Andy retired from the forces in 2014. However, Andy didn’t leave the skies for good, and went on to become the Captain of a Boeing 747 for British Airways. Working at London’s Heathrow Airport, Andy put to use his flying skills to transport hundreds of passengers safely to their destinations. After an impressive 22 years in commercial aviation, Andy left British Airways and went on to become the Squadron Leader of The Honourable Company of Air Pilots. Currently he is the Chief Pilot for Longtail Aviation, a true testament to his knowledge of planes and the great blue skies.
