Citywire Investment Trust Forum 2025
Citywire is bringing together leading voices in wealth management for a focused half-day forum in London and we are delighted to invite you to join us at the Hilton Park Lane on Tuesday, 9 September.
This forum will shine a spotlight on investment trusts, an area generating renewed interest among advisers and clients alike, with the opportunity to hear from multiple investment trust managers.
As markets remain volatile and income harder to find, investment trusts are offering some of the most compelling ideas in the current landscape. From some attractively wide discounts and strong dividend track records, to their ability to provide access to alternative and illiquid assets, trusts are playing an increasingly important role in diversified, long-term portfolios.
We will also be joined by Nick Britton, research director at the Association of Investment Companies, to provide some insight and data on the key trends shaping the sector at present.
As with all of our forums, attendance is strictly by invitation only and delegates participating in the accredited Investment Trust Forum can claim up to 3 CPD hours towards the CII / Personal Finance Society member CPD scheme.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the event, attendees will be able to:
- Identify the role of investment trusts in accessing alternative and illiquid asset classes
- List the current market dynamics impacting investment trusts
- Evaluate the pros and cons of investment trusts
Whether you're already a trust specialist or looking to deepen your understanding, this forum offers timely insight into how to make the most of these powerful investment vehicles.
Places are limited, so we encourage you to register today to secure your attendance.
We look forward to welcoming you.

We believe that the best investment ideas spring from thinking about future possibilities, not short-term probabilities. We set no barriers to the imagination of our investors, encouraging fresh perspectives and the use of diverse sources of information. We term ourselves Actual Investors.

Real estate equities – an earnings story : sound fundamentals driving rental growth with the warm tailwind of falling debt costs
We’ve moved past peak interest rates and with a dislocation between share valuations and the true value of underlying property assets, real estate equities look well placed. Find out how we’re selectively targeting value in key markets.
• Real estate equities often outperform broader equities once we past the peak in interest rates
• Earnings growth continues to be the main driver
• Selectivity is key – why we focus on well managed quality businesses in the right sectors and locations.
• We see little oversupply in key markets and rental growth is being delivered. There is a positive outlook for sectors like logistics, data centres, retail warehousing, best in class CBD offices and prime retail in tourist hotspots.
Workshop Objectives:
• Understand drivers of real estate performance
• Gain insight into the equity market’s valuation of this asset class and the opportunities for total return
• M&A : learn how private equity is forcing REITs to improve their returns on capital employed
Company Profile: TR Property is a closed-ended investment trust. It has focused solely on property investing for more than 40 years, producing a record of steady, benchmark-beating returns.
The trust makes it easy to gain broad and diverse exposure to the UK and European commercial property sector, with one click.
